Well, I have to be honest and admit, that even after 18 years away from Mamaroneck, I seem to find myself, when on I-95 in NY, stopping off at exit 18, driving down Mam'k Ave and straight to Sal's for a "slice" and usually a pie "to go" for the friends back in RI that I have converted into Sal's fans.

I have been living in beautiful Newport, RI since 1985 when I came here to go to Salve Regina College (with fellow MHS grad Margaret DiPace). Since graduating in '89 I have been working in the hospitality industry here in the Queen of summer resorts; jumping around from waitressing, to concierge at one of Newport's loveliest Inns, working at a local vineyard, a stint at Waldenbooks and Barnes and Noble, and a few years as a personal assistant. None of these jobs, however, required the hard earned and costly degree that is collecting dust on the bookshelf. Such is life!

I have kept in touch with a few friends from Mamaroneck through the years (Heidi Biewald, Martha Bonilla, Lillian Sierra, Paula Haviland, Carl Carpino and Bob Beresford). My mother moved back to her home town in Ireland about five years ago, so I have lost my one real connection to Mamaroneck and don't have much reason to visit these days. In light of that, I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and catching up.

See you there!

Liza
