For several years I pursued an acting career in New York, while also working at various publishing houses, including Bantam and RD Books. I finally got fed up with the business side of acting and wrote a feature length script. When I realized that I ultimately wanted to write/direct, I put myself through film school and finished in '01. I have been working as a script supervisor since then, and had the good fortune to work on some great projects including "What Alice Found," which won a special jury prize at Sundance in 2003. My final project at film school got into several festivals in '03, and I just started my own little production company called Georgi-Girl Productions. I am hoping to direct another short film this year.
On a personal front, I am divorced (no kids, but a big fluffy cat) and live in Manhattan. One of my greatest moments at MHS was writing and directing a one-act play for Theater Workshop. If anything, it was evident back then that I was on the right path. MHS gave me so many wonderful opportunities to express my creativity, especially in the PACE program. For that, I am eternally grateful. I truly wish everyone the best, and hope that you're all well! I'm not sure if I can make the reunion, but drop me an e-mail.
