It's great to read everyone's stories. I am really impressed in so many ways with all you people! And everyone looks the same except with better hairstyles!
My life since high school (if you have a minute or fifteen; this is much more fun than working, no?): Cal Berkeley freshman year. Loved the weather and the cafes but the culture shock was a bit much (my roommate first semester, born and raised in the O.C. and a straight-A student in high school, didn't know if Chicago was a city or a state). Transferred to the Univ. of Michigan second year, which I loved (who doesn't?). After finally graduating in December 1990 (time off, yadda yadda), moved to D.C. where I had great fun as a solid Gen Xer for a few years (interned on the Hill, campaigned for Clinton, worked as an admin. assistant, etc.; waitressed to supplement income; even did the obligatory stint as a part-time Starbucks barista!).
Ready to inch into adulthood, went to law school at the Univ. of Virginia from '94 to '97, then moved back home to NYC, where I've been ever since. Toiled for five yrs. at two big law firms and moved to my current job as an in-house corporate attorney a couple of years ago. Best (perhaps only good?) part about working at the firms was meeting my wonderful, adorable husband Jaime, who is, thankfully, not a lawyer but an assistant director of legal personnel at a large law firm (different one from where we met!). We've been together over five yrs., married since last May, and now are pregnant and due in August. We still listen to way too much 80's music - do I dare tell you we have tickets for the Erasure concert next month?
Although my parents escaped to Cape Cod for their retirement and are having a ball (now I have to call them), three of my siblings live in L'mont/Mamk, so I do get up there rather often - going for runs in Orienta if I stay overnight, and usually finding a way to get to Esy's (which I still call "Cheese Bazaar") for some oh-so-nutritious frozen yogurt and cookies! (Nice that some things have not changed...)
So I might be a bit lumpy and sleep-deprived (see above reference to "due in August"), but hope to get to and see many of you at the reunion!
